The Climate Project Foundation is host to the Indian chapter of Nobel Laureate and former Vice President Al Gore's climate change leadership program, The Climate Reality Project. Its mission is to educate the public about the harmful effects of climate change and to work toward solutions at a grassroots level worldwide.

Established in March 2008 under the aegis of Al Gore and Dr. R K Pachauri, we have hundreds of civic leaders who have been trained, and are committed to spreading the message of Climate Change in our country.

This year, apart from continuing to expand our climate change presentations, our agenda includes highlighting India-specific problems and solutions, implementing more powerful and wide-reaching awareness programs, developing new content on Indian solutions, and working with teachers to take the message deeper into classrooms.

Climate Reality supports more than 10,000 diverse and dedicated volunteers worldwide who have been personally trained by Al Gore to deliver clear and concise presentations on impacts of and solutions to climate crisis. These Presenters have delivered 70,000 presentations and have reached a combined global audience of more than 7.3 million people, sharing our message that the climate crisis is real and the time to act is now. Presentations can be requested free of charge by any size group or organization.

The Climate Reality Project has branches in 10 countries and presence in more than 130 countries.

OUR PROGRAMS

The Teachers Training Program is designed to give teachers confidence in facilitating climate change and sustainability education inside and outside the classroom so that they can help young people understand the causes and consequences of climate change, bring about changes in attitudes and behaviours to reduce the severity of future climate change, and build resilience in the face of climate change that are already present.

The Climate Youth Leadership Program aims to create awareness and enable young people to comprehend their relationship with the environment and make concerted efforts to conserve it. Through this program, we strive to educate and empower young minds to become leaders and active participants in the sustainable development movement.

Principals Conclave is a leadership workshop on Sustainable Development Goals with special focus on environmental goals (SDG- 06, 07, 13, 14) and climate change is planned for school principals/heads, which will be jointly organized by The Climate Reality Project India and UNESCO.
